The Onitsha Youths Council (OYC) is a dynamic organization comprising young professionals under 40. Recognizing the potential of youths as a powerful force for development, the OYC focuses on harnessing their energy and talent.

The OYC is closely linked to the National Association of Onitsha Ado Students, which unites Onitsha students in tertiary institutions. This association has been involved in  several impactful programmes:

• Long Vacation Tutorial Sessions (since 2007): Providing educational support to secondary school students during long vacations.
• Golibe Festival (since 2018): An annual end-of-year celebration of culture.
• Youth-Led Initiatives: Addressing social issues such as drug addiction and cultism.

By empowering and supporting its youths, the Onitsha community is investing in its future, nurturing a generation of leaders and change-makers.
