Ifeanyi Menkiti

Born the son of Ozonma Charlie Nnaemeka Menkiti and Nwamgbafo Margaret Olieh from Umuezearoli village was born on Aug. 24, 1940. He is survived by his wife Carol. who before they met, had been a Peace Corps volunteer in Nigeria. He is also survived by his son, Obiora Ifensor; daughters, Ndidi Nnenia, Nneka Ngozi Ekwife, and Enuma Menkiti; and five grandchildren.

Chinyelugo. received a bachelor’s degree in 1964, a master’s in journalism from Columbia University, a master’s in philosophy from New York University, and a doctoral degree in philosophy from Harvard University. He began teaching at the prestigious and esteemed Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in 1973. where he made a name for himself as a top tier tenured professor of philosophy until retiring in 2014.
